We understand that you could be overwhelmed by so many different video templates especially if you’re new to Shakr.

This basic guideline is a great place to start!

1. Check our video template collections

We created various video template collections for different businesses. You can simply click on the collection filter on the browse page and find video templates that suit your business.

We also have collections based on Seasons, Holidays, and Observances. Our collections make it easy to create the hyper relevant content you need on social media.

2. Think about where you want to use your video

There are many social media platforms and they often have different video requirements.

For example, you can only use vertical videos (9:16) for Instagram Stories while horizontal videos (16:9) work well for YouTube.

Currently, we have 4 different types of video templates and you can easily sort them out by using the aspect ratio filter on the browse page.

In general, we’d recommend you use

  • 16:9 videos for YouTube

  • 1:1 videos for Facebook and Instagram

  • 4:5 videos for Facebook and Instagram

  • 9:16 videos for Instagram Stories

3. What type of media asset do you have?

On, you can make a video with images, videos or just text. Check what type of media assets you have or you want to use first, and use the design type filter to find a template that suits you.

If you don’t have media assets, you can also check out our built-in stock library. There are 1,000,000 stock assets with images and video clips and you can easily access it in the editor!

All of the filters can be used simultaneously on the browse page which means you can easily narrow down video templates that suit you.

Still not so sure how to choose a template? Please don't hesitate to contact us by
